SGR Train Accident: TRC Confirms the Incident, Experts Head to the Scene
The spokesperson of the Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC), Mr. Fredy Mwanjala, has confirmed receiving reports of a train accident during a phone interview with one of the media outlets. He stated, “We have received reports of a train accident, and since we’ve just obtained the information, both the Director General and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry are heading to the scene. We will issue an official statement later after a thorough assessment by experts.”
The public has been urged to remain calm as detailed information will be released by the relevant authorities once a full investigation has been completed.
